TassAngiolillo_graphicMost recently I’ve been featured in a couple pieces online. Most recently was an interview I did for Popular Science highlighting the Canon 6D which can be found here: http://www.popsci.com/behindthescenes/tassangiolillo

Another web magazine called Photography Masterclass used a piece I did for “Desert Warrior”.  For those who wish to check out the issue they are offering a free 3 months subscription on iPad here: http://photographymasterclassmag.com/tassanee-angiolillo-special

The Supermoon?

Unfortunately you won’t be seeing one from me. I don’t even own a telephoto lens. I did however capture the moonlight in a few images from Joshua Tree. I really like how these images turned out. I even caught a shooting star by Arch Rock.  I put together a small time-lapse from “The Visitor” Hope you enjoy it!

Borrego Springs

I was told Borrego Springs was a great place to check out  the wildflowers. On this particular trip I didn’t see anything. However, driving through this town you can’t help but notice to cool metal sculptures that are spread throughout the town. This gallery of metal art is called Galleta Meadows.  Now seeing a dragon in the middle of a desert is pretty cool. What better way to make it even more spectacular than to see it at night with the stars. This was 92 images blended and stacked around 50 minutes. I did a separate exposure for the foreground as well. The red lights came in handy!

If you’re ever in Borrego Springs these sculptures are not to be missed!

Eastern Sierras

South Tufas

Once A year I try to visit the Eastern Sierras to catch the fall colors. On this trip I had the chance to stay during sunset near Mono Lake. The colors there are amazing especially around the June lake loop! 3 days is not enough to capture everything I wanted, but I did get some great shots and I’ll be back again next year!

Time lapse in Joshua Tree

Short Time Lapse Rock Arch

Here’s my attempt of testing out my 101 images from Arch Rock in Joshua Tree this past week. I used two programs for this, an action in photoshop to blend the images frame by frame and then used Lightroom 4 to make the movie 24 Fps. I only ended up with 6 seconds of video, Crazy! I’m going to try this again, but I‘ll need my sleeping bag next time!

Success!

Abandoned Dreams

Lastnight finally turned out to be a clear night in Joshua Tree. I got to snap this shot before the gusty winds came blowing in. The weather there is always  a hit or miss, but I’m lucky I live close enough to keep going back.  This specific area of the park is only daytime use, 20 minutes just wasn’t long enough. I wanted longer star trails. I’m determined to get it right! I’ll be back!
